Haunted Phoenix Bus Tour Explores the Spookier Side of Downtown

What: A guided bus tour hosted by history raconteur, Marshall Shore, who shares the hidden history of these sites.
Join Marshall Shore, the unofficial Arizona Hip Historian for a bus tour of historic graveyards, ruins, and ghostly haunts in downtown Phoenix. The tour commences at American Leagion Post #1, which opened it's doors in 1919, and is a true downtown gem.

The tour will include a drive by of the historic Orpheum Theater (Adams and Second Avenue), home to the mysterious female spirit who wanders inside; a visit to the Pioneer and Military Memorial Park, the final resting place to notable figures in Arizona history and folklore; ruins of the historic First Baptist Church on 3rd Ave and Monroe, which caught fire in the mid-80’s; a stop at the San Carlos Hotel, home to the ghost of Leone Jensen, who has haunted it's halls since 1928; MacAlpine's a soda fountain with late '20's era soda fountain with a unique story.

Forbidden Room Cabaret to Support Arizona LGBT+ History Project

An Unparalleled Evening of Song, Dance and Intrigue Awaits Daring Audiences

Phoenix, AZ: Daring audiences are cordially invited to enter the Forbidden Room: an evening cabaret featuring music, song, dance, burlesque and maybe a dramatic surprise or two. The event will take place in the historic 1930s social hall at the Luke-Greenway American Legion Post 1, 364 N. 7th Avenue in Phoenix, on Saturday, April 21, 2018 doors open at 7:30, show starts at 8 to 10 PM.
